Marti Bailey

Originally from the
Midwest, Marti studied Commercial Art at
Northeast
Missouri
State
College. She has painted and been involved in the arts all her life and through
the years between college and raising a family, she has continued her interests
by attending workshops, seminars and art classes. Her medium of choice is oil,
but she also enjoys working in pastels, watercolor and acrylics.
On a national level,
she has been invited twice to exhibit her work in Limner’s
New York City
gallery. In 2004 she was juried into Book Art Press' “New
Art International 2004-2005”. This high quality hard back book features the work of approximately 100
artists from around the world each year. Most recently her work was
featured in Kennedy Publication’s “The
Best of American Oil Artists
and Artisans” for 2007. Both books can be found in book stores
nationwide.
Her work in print
was chosen for inclusion in the national publication “Art Business News” magazine
on three different occasions. The graphite drawing “Arabian Stallion” was
featured on the cover of
South Texas’ Arabian
Horse Club’s Magazine, and her images can be found in several years of WCAA’s
annual calendars.
For the last few
years Marti has successfully shown her work in area and regional competitions,
garnering many first place wins in the advanced and professional categories.

prestigious art marketing site Artprice.com under their research site www.artistbiography.com and on the
juried site of www.artspace2000.com.
For the last 10
years, Marti has created religious works of art depicting the Virgin Mary and
Christ Child. These works are then
produced as individual small Giclee’ prints which she makes into Christmas
cards. She assembles each card by hand
and mails them to everyone on her “Christmas Card” list. The original works of art are then donated to
area fundraisers. If you would like to be included on Marti’s Christmas Card
List and receive one of these hand made cards each year, please contact Marti
by using the “Contact Us” link on this website. Please include your name and mailing address. Please know that your information will
NOT be shared with any other party. The list has grown to several hundred and the cards have become a
collectible item among her friends, family and collectors.
